Dear pilots ,
As you see , registration for PGAWC event are already opened. On beginning of the year we decided to improve our competition and put it on higher level. First change is pilots selection which will be settled on maximum 80 pilots per event. This is because to give chance to best pilots to have more rounds. Maximum will be like on Cat 1. 12 (twelve) but it will be decided on general briefing according to number of competitors and weather conditions. Reason is and decision CIVL to change WPRS formula and force more rounds for more WPRS points.
Another rule is entry fee payment which must be done before competition start for selected pilots. Reason is many pilots apply for event but never come and take places for pilots who really want to come. Organizer and PGAWC never know real number of competitors and how to make good preparation for transport, lunch packets, T-shirts…
In every PGAWC selective competition, pilots will get Event Rank depending on their WPRS ranking on date of applied and PGAWC ranking from previous season by the formula
Event Rank =(WPRS position + PGAWC position) / 2
Very important : DO NOT pay entry fee while not see notice WAITING FOR PAYMENT in line of your name on selection list. Payment will be by priority of selected pilot by Event Rank
We decided do make changes in teams competing and make it more serious. As you know many pilots form the teams on competition chasing free pilots in last moment and make mess during registration. Our decision from now will be entry fee per pilots in team per event. Team leader before first official round started will give list of team member with entry fee to technical delegate. Rest will be the same : no change team during season , no more than 4 pilots in team . If team has more pilots , Team leader will chose who will compete on event and rest will compete like individual.
