PGAWC INDIA World Cup points CANCELED

PGAWC INDIA CANCELED

We apologize to all pilots, because competition in India for World Cup (PGAWC) will not count as World Cup points.

The NAC of India set up his own team rather than the PGAWC Team proposed , so no agreement was reached.

To avoid problems like they used to, the competition will not be considered a Paragliding accuracy world cup.

PGAWC events for 2020

PGAWC events for 2020

Dear Folks,

After considering the 9 bids which we got for 2020 we decided to make 6 events this year.Decision was not easy but due to date  of competitions Cat1 (European and Asian) we tried not to make overlaping events. We will waiting for organizers answer about confirmation the dates for this schedule  and after that registration will be open for next year. We know that not to much of you will visit all our events , but as interesting for organizing PGAWC was very big we decided on this way. As you know for final ranking we will descard 1/3 of all rounds so four events is acceptable for most pilots to be on high position. On another way we give oportunity to new countries to be organizer  PGAWC events. Our proposal for schedule is :

PGAWC India 13 - 16 February

PGAWC France 21 -24 May

PGAWC Portugal 25 - 28 Jun

PGAWC Austria 9 - 12 July

PGAWC China 17 - 20 September

PGAWC Indonesia 8 -11 October

We wish good luck for organizers and hope they will make good events like we had before on PGAWC.

INFORMATION

Dear Pilots ,

We recently read this information:

CIVL was made aware by pilots both in social media and in the Paragliding Accuracy Committee of multiple complaints against the PGAWC 2019 Wassekuppe (October 3 to 6, 2019). The CIVL Bureau observed that some basic Section 7 C rules were not implemented, like landings judged by only two persons and without a visible line on the 10 m radius. Hence the CIVL Bureau took the decision not to include the event results in the WPRS.

PGAWC Pohang Korea

PGAWC Pohang Korea

Third round of PGAWC 2019 finished. Pohang from Korea hosted 90 pilots from 15 different countries and in three days we finished five rounds without any injured pilots and accident. Weather not permitted us to done more but in any way pilots are very satisfied what they done. Organization was  perfect like and venue which was made specially for this event. Great opening ceremony reminded on the best Cat1. event ever. And again female on top of ranking. First was Eunyoung Cho from Korea Second place share Jirasak Witeetham from Thailand , Kim Hi Hyeon from Korea and Marketa Tomaskova from Czech Republic. Due to worse results per round Marketa was not on podium in overall. For Female again Eunyoung Cho on the top , Marketa second and young Gita Rezky Y. Guntari from Indonesia third. For teams first was THAI A team , second Sky Korea and third TRUNOJOYO. Females become more and more “dangerous” for male and hope in future we must organize separately ranking for male and female because female will take all rewards.
Next event will be final and we will announce best pilots for whole 2019. See you in Germany soon
